Cross Dock facility
With 11,300 employees in over 300 owned offices across 90 countries and representation in a further 30 countries, Damco manages more than 2,7 million TEU of ocean freight and supply chain management volumes and more than 210,000 tonnes of air freight, annually.
Due to the growth in cross-dock operations in Rotterdam, Damco needed a cross dock facility on this location. There were schematic plans from the lessor of the original buildings and from Damco, but Damco preferred a professional and independent quick scan of the building possibilities for this operation.
- Based upon drawings of the site in Rotterdam Groenewout set up three alternatives for a cross dock facility.
- Workshop with Damco in order to discuss the solutions, the future possibilities, the advantages and disadvantages and the next steps to achieve a cross dock facility.
- Experience in logistics as well as in building facilities
- Clear insight in possible building lay-outs now and in the future
