Their European Headquarters is located in Germany and warehouses are found in most European countries.

Opportunities
Tech Data was in the process of consolidating the warehouse operations in the Nordic countries with the realization of a Nordics Warehouse in the Stockholm area. In order to come to a European wide warehouse security concept a European security blueprint needed to be developed and to be implemented in the Nordics project. Tech Data’s Loss Prevention & Security officer EMEA was looking for a right hand who could manage and take care of the blueprint design and the complete Nordic security project.

Solution
In close cooperation Tech Data and Groenewout developed a European security concept applicable for all warehouses. Apart from the organizational and procedural measures, the main elements of the hardware of the security system were the CCTV system, access control and burglar protection installation.

Benefits
A European warehouse security blueprint based on the strategic development of logistic operations, facility design and specific nature of inventory. This security blueprint will be used to align all existing and newly build warehouses of Tech Data in Europe.
The pilot implementation for the Nordic warehouse covered all elements of the concept including organizational / procedural measures; building and installation were within budget and planning.
