Corporate Express, the operating name of Buhrmann Office Products Division, is Benelux’s leading distributor of office products, paper and graphic systems and second in Europe.

Opportunities
After the purchase of the office supply business of the Samas Groep by Buhrmann, the new company’s task of building a new Distribution Centre was even more urgent since Samas had already outgrown their current site in Utrecht.

Solution
Groenewout had performed a location study for Dissam (Distribution Centre Samas) in 2000. Based on the recommendations of this report Dissam and later Corporate Express started negotiations with Almere.

After final decision for the city of Almere, Groenewout assisted Corporate Express in the process to develop a contract with a project developer. Groenewout’s role became that of mediator between Corporate Express, project developer HVBM and Architect Dedato.
