Manage project AEO certification
The DSV Solutions Division is one of the leading suppliers of logistics services in Europe. With over 1,5 Million square meter warehouse capacity in Europe, over 3,500 employees and over 500 customers, DSV Solutions is able to offer small and medium sized companies, as well as multinationals, operational management of their goods flows, with distribution reaching throughout the Benelux, Europe, the Middle-East and Africa.
As part of continuing improving the business and developing a leading organization, DSV Solutions decided to create a new division incorporating several locations. All these locations should have/obtain an AEO (authorized economic operator) certification. Groenewout was requested to project manage the certification project of the location Venlo
In a period of 10 weeks Groenewout worked with an internal multi disciplinary project team of DSV, including experts on security, quality, customs, HR, transportation and operations to work through the self assessment as required in the AEO guidelines.
During this period a number of processes were documented, re-engineered and implemented to meet the AEO requirements.
The project resulted in a successfully completed pre-audit by a corporate security representative. The pre-audit showed the readiness of the location for the certification, after which the AEO certificate was applied for.
With the project management support provided, DSV has been able to:

- The AEO certificate will give DSV a competitive advantage compared to other logistics service providers without the certificate.
