Evaluation warehouse site for distribution purposes

Ideal Standard is the world’s largest manufacturer of bath & kitchen products. The range of products include: faucets, fixtures, whirlpools, accessories, showers and sinks. Brands include American Standard JADO, Borma, Armitage Shanks, Ceramica Dolomite, Porcher and Ideal Standard.
Opportunities
As part of a restructuring effort of its European supply chain, a study was needed to investigate alternatives for a currently unused manufacturing and distribution location in Neuss, Germany.
Solution
Groenewout conducted extensive site visits and formulated the logistics requirements together with Ideal Standard.
A feasibility study was performed that investigates the transformation of the site into a distribution center through renovation or demolition of all current facilities and construction of a completely new DC.
Based on evaluation of both alternatives, Groenewout provided recommendation.
