Solution

Given the anticipated business growth, the warehouse capacity was already insufficient and an external warehouse was rented to stock promotional articles. Apart from the EU warehouse operated in Oss-NL, Revit also operated an American warehouse (outsourced) in New Jersey.

Given these developments Groenewout assessed REV’IT! distribution network structure in Europe, Asia and The Americas.

Benefits

Based on multiple scenario calculations, Groenewout determined the strategic direction of Revit’s distribution footprint to establish the optimal customer service against a minimum logistics spend. This included a financial business case on the preferred scenario containing the operational costs (transport, warehousing, inventory), (des-)invest-ments and transition costs.
