Description
KLM Cityhopper is an operating carrier for KLM. Among others, KLM Cityhopper is responsible for the technical services of its own fleet. The maintenance activities itself have been outsourced to three Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facilities.
Opportunities
In a previous project Groenewout advised KLM Cityhopper on the warehouse design and the warehouse processes. One of the elements was the installation in hangar H73 of a lean lift system for spare parts of aero planes KLC asked Groenewout to perform all building related actions during design and actual implementation of the lean lifts in H73.
Solution
Management of activities needed for the implementation of lean lifts in hangar 73:
- Bearing capacity of the existing floor
- Fire safety and extension of the sprinkler systems
- Building permit for the changes of the building and the logistic system
