The Philips Domestic Appliances and Personal Care (DAP) division in Drachten produces top quality shavers for all over the world. Adjacent to the production facility is a newly extended warehouse (LoCe) for semi-manufactured products.
Opportunities
Existing resources were limited due requirements associated with SAP implementation and the ongoing warehouse expansion. Philips required assistance in logistics processes and implementations of logistics systems.
Solution
Assisted is in various ways, such as a logistics analyses for the streamlining of goods flow, assisting in the implementation of SAP-MM and SAP-WM, set-up working procedures, set up SAP training material for and give SAP training to warehouse personnel, providing go-live support after SAP & SAP WM implementation and developing a migration plan for existing stock into the new extended warehouse (LoCe).
