Logistics real estate: take control

On 2 July, Het Houtse Meer in Den Hout, the Netherlands, was the stunning lakeside venue for Groenewout’s inspiration session on logistics new-build projects. More than 80 logistics professionals representing property developers, investors, construction companies and logistics companies attended the event for an afternoon of insights and networking.

Bas Dijkhuizen, editor of Logistiek.nl, chaired the session and kept the afternoon running smoothly. Mari van Kuijk kicked off proceedings with his presentation on decisions during the logistics real estate selection process. “If your company is looking for a new location, what should you watch out for and how can you manage and design the search process? The panel discussion followed the networking break. Dijkhuizen chaired a discussion between the four panel members – Fred Groot (ERIKS Nederland), Ben Vos (Vos Logistics), Gerwin Vos (Somerset Capital Partners) and Jan van den Hogen (DEKA Immobilien) – on a number of topics including the roles, the risks and the rewards associated with property development.
