Advice on optimizing business processes for DHL Supply Chain
In order to give you a sense of the operational support we can provide, we are pleased to outline the DHL Supply Chain project. DHL Supply Chain has been running an Electronics European Distribution Center in Beringe for one of its customers since 2004. Over the years, the operation has been expanded to continue to fulfill the customer’s requirements. However, further expansion was necessary to anticipate future growth in the years ahead. Hence, Groenewout was asked to devise a solution that would meet the needs of the new operation in the future. We presented our analysis of three logistics process alternatives, each with a different degree of mechanization in the pick and pack process. This solution offered the following benefits:

  1. A number of methods could be directly implemented into the existing operation.
  2. A warehouse designed for greater operational efficiency and with reduced labor costs in pick and pack processes.
