What are the latest technological developments in (automated) packing?

March 27, 2019 4896 Views

On 4 April, Groenewout’s Dirk Becks will be speaking during the ‘Automation 2019, the future of automated applications for packaging and logistics’ event at the Brabanthallen venue in the Dutch city of Den Bosch.

The growth of e-fulfilment is increasing the labor intensity per order due to the manual work involved in packing an order, handling returns flows and extra value-added services. Therefore, in view of the current labor shortage, it can be worthwhile to look at automated or semi-automated solutions for the packing process and the possible robotization of today’s operator tasks.

Dirk is involved in the implementation of highly mechanized warehouse operations (including e-commerce distribution centers) on a daily basis. In his presentation on Thursday April 4 from 13:30 to 14:15 h, Dirk will provide an overview of the latest technological developments relating to automated packing.
