Project management and coordination of new-build DC for Vos Logistics in Oss
On behalf of Vos Logistics, Groenewout is taking care of the contract management, project management and strategic coordination during the construction of a new, sustainable 25,000m2 distribution center on the De Geer industrial estate in Oss, as well as the sale to the end investor. Vos Logistics is a specialist in transport and logistics services.
The new distribution center also comprises two office buildings, one at each end of the distribution center, as well as storage areas for hazardous goods (PGS 15 areas). The facility is being fitted with sustainable LED lighting, climate systems with heat pumps and a certified fire alarm and sprinkler system. At the end of the process, the new DC will be certified with the BREEAM Outstanding label.
As the coordinating party, contract manager and project manager, Groenewout is responsible for safeguarding the planning, the budget, the quality, the organization and the communication during the entire execution process. Besides that, Groenewout is ensuring that the contractor will complete the project in full accordance with the contract and within the agreed time frame and budget. The project will then be handed over to the end investor.
To achieve this, Groenewout is working in close collaboration with the real estate department within Vos Logistics and with consultants who are specialized in systems (D-install), BREEAM (Build 2 Live, W4Y), construction (Lievense) and fire safety (Veldweg, Sprinkleradvies).
The project is making good progress and is on track for completion in September 2021, not least thanks to the hard work and flexibility of the main contractor (Burgland Bouw), its systems partners (Brandsen installatietechniek, ABBS) and sub-contractors.
