Groenewout welcomes new employees

Dutch supply chain consultancy Groenewout adds two colleagues (source: consultancy.eu)


Willem de Koning joined Groenewout as a senior consultant on 1 June 2021. He made the move following 12 years in various roles at a market leader in material handling solutions. Prior to that, Willem had been responsible for the concept and system design of new material handling systems for companies including Amazon and DHL.

Within Groenewout, Willem is mainly focusing on logistics feasibility studies and the design of mechanized warehouse operations such as e-commerce distribution centers. Willem has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a master’s degree in Systems Engineering from TU Eindhoven.

Specializations: conceptual analysis and the design of automated processes, warehouse systems, sorting systems and logistics feasibility studies.

Mark van der Boor joined Groenewout as a consultant in September 2021. Mark has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree (both cum laude) in Applied Mathematics from Eindhoven University of Technology.

At the same university, Mark completed his PhD thesis titled ‘Hyper-Scalable Load Balancing’, on designing scalable algorithms for large-scale queueing networks, in 2021.

Mark is specialized in (logistics) modeling, operations research, data analysis and programming/simulation. He primarily focuses on data-driven supply chain and logistics optimization projects.
