Domino’s Pizza to relocate DC to Nieuwegein

June 04, 2019 4810 Views

Domino’s Pizza is moving its main facility to the Dutch city of Nieuwegein. The new distribution center (DC), comprising approx. 18,000 square meters, is being built at the Het Klooster business park and is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2020.

The existing facility in Gorinchem combines warehousing with the daily production of the fresh dough that is used for the company’s pizza bases, and those manufacturing activities will soon be extended to include semi-finished products such as dough balls and toppings. The new DC in Nieuwegein will serve all the Domino’s Pizza outlets in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.

Groenewout is involved in the logistics concept for the new Domino’s Pizza facility. Besides that, Groenewout is coordinating the realization of the logistics design plus the construction of the chilled warehouse and the entire production environment.
