Does ERP really offer the best end-to-end solution?

ERP suppliers, and especially the major players, are continuously expanding their portfolios, often by acquiring new functionality. Warehouse management systems are one example, and others include e-commerce tools and supply chain collaboration platforms. So does ERP now have enough functionality on board that third-party modules are no longer necessary? And is this contributing to an ERP revival?
