Alain Beerens becomes new Managing Director of Groenewout

Groenewout is a logistics consultancy firm specializing in advice, implementation and optimization relating to logistics and supply chain networks and processes in all industries. As the new Managing Director, Alain Beerens is now responsible for the day-to-day management of Groenewout.

As of 1 April 2019, Alain Beerens has taken over the role of Managing Director from Mari van Kuijk, who had held that position since 2007. Alain has been working at Groenewout since 2000 and became a member of the management team in 2003, most recently heading up the supply chain practice. As Managing Director Alain is now also responsible for the day-to-day management and Groenewout’s strategic positioning.

Mari van Kuijk has moved into a new role in which he will mainly focus on further expanding the contractual and financial service aspects of logistics real-estate projects. Additionally, he will be heavily involved in managing Groenewout’s flexible layer of consultants.

Beerens: “Mari has made a very valuable contribution as a director of Groenewout. It is partly thanks to his efforts that Groenewout has become what it is today – an organization to be proud of and an independent consultancy firm that is at the top of the list for many companies whenever they face logistics and supply chain-related challenges. I’m looking forward to continuing to chart this course together with the management team and the rest of the employees.”

Van Kuijk: “After 12 years as a director, I feel that the time is right to make way for someone else. Alain’s appointment as Managing Director gives me the opportunity to follow my heart and fully focus on logistics real-estate projects. I’ve been at the helm for more than ten years so a breath of fresh air is also good for Groenewout, of course. As Managing Partner I will continue to be closely involved in Groenewout’s future developments.”

As of 1 April 2019, the Groenewout management team comprises the following members: Alain Beerens (Managing Director & Partner), Wendel Dijker (Managing Consultant & Partner), Mari van Kuijk (Managing Consultant & Partner) and Arthur Zondervan (Managing Consultant & Partner).
