Business case Forever Direct
Speaker: Martin Zegers , Managing Director
Company: Forever Direct, is a subsidiary of Forever Living Products
Title: There is only one boss, The Customer.
The Forever Direct business case is an inspiring examination of how a supply chain echelon for the EMEA region was built up from nothing. The company initially worked with a logistics service provider to get the operation off the ground quickly. The logistics activities subsequently had to be insourced because that was the corporate strategy. As a result, it was necessary to develop in-house processes and procedures, new systems (ERP/WMS/WCS/DMS/etc) and equipment and a new internal organization in a brand-new building. Furthermore, the company also had value-added activities in a bonded warehouse. Despite such a complex situation, the go-live was successful. What was the key to that success? Martin Zegers looks back on the turbulent period of change.
