1. Staying in control on the path to a new distribution center:

The logistics real estate market is booming in today’s economy. If your company is looking for a new location, what should you watch out for and how can you manage and design the search process? Mari’s presentation will cover the following points:

  • The importance of land and land holding in the real-estate game
  • Planning and the end of rental agreements for your existing property
  • Players and roles in the real-estate game
  • The importance of a Program of Requirements (functional requirements, sustainability, employee well-being)
  • Types of agreements

Mari van Kuijk, Managing Director & Partner, Groenewout

2. WELL certification: what are the opportunities for (future) users?

WELL provides a framework for quantifying measures that improve working conditions for employees in the built environment and contribute to their better long-term health and well-being. WELL also offers a certification option. It can be difficult to attract and retain the right people in the current labor market, and the logistics sector is no exception. Can WELL be of any help in this respect, or is it just another hype that will be forgotten again in a few years’ time?

Edwin van Eeckhoven, director & Wytze Boekhout, Well AP, C2N

3. The end investor’s view of the real-estate game:

Users/tenants usually have regular contact with the developer of logistics real estate but less contact with the investor. This is a little strange, because the long-term relationship is actually with the investor, whereas the relationship with the developer only lasts for one or two years. In this session, Jan will explain how an investor views logistics real estate, their goals and what is important to them, and he will share his advice for (future) tenants.
