Network study reveals the importance of Supply Chain at SPGPrints
Interview with Geert Wanten, Director Operations, and Wouter Visser, Supply Chain Manager, SPGPrints.
SPGPrints supplies printing machines and consumables (in particular screens and ink) to customers in the textile and printing industries. A network study was conducted to meet the company’s need for greater insight into the supply chain and the opportunities for supply chain optimization. Groenewout created a model of the existing supply chain and analyzed various scenarios. That resulted not only in lower supply chain costs, but also – and perhaps more importantly – more appreciation for the role of Supply Chain within the company. “There is now more acceptance for our involvement within the organization.”
