Growing importance supply chain

Until recently when talking about logistics and supply chains, one often referred to trucks and warehouses. In today’s world we are managing our supply chains on financial logistics parameters, as cash-to-cash cycle time. According to Alain Beerens, managing consultant & partner at Groenewout, the strategic position of Supply Chains is ever more recognized on senior management level, specifically because of the significant (inventory)investments involved and its ability to improve customer service.
