Description
Ceramika Tubądzin is a leading Polish manufacturer of a wide range of ceramic tiles for bathrooms, kitchens and flooring. In January 2001 the company was awarded the prize “Company of the Year” by the Polish Business Club for the dynamic growth and manufacturing quality standard.
Opportunities
Ceramika Tubądzin considered restructuring the warehouse function of their two production sites for current and future production capacity. Ceramika requested Groenewout to support the development of the business case.
Solution
After gathering the required data, the structure, footprint and characteristics of the new warehouse concept were designed:
- Storage capacities and -concept
- Receiving, storage, picking and shipping area
- Racking, equipment, employees.
- In addition, a strategic workshop was conducted to facilitate an insourcing / outsourcing decision process.
To support this process a preliminary list of service providers was defined to serve as a potential future partner.
