Design & pilot implementation distribution to 10,000 locations
Description
ASITO Dienstengroep BV is a leading provider of cleaning and related services in The Netherlands. They operate more than 130 branch offices with 13,000 employees. Apart from office cleaning they provide professional cleaning services in the food industry, medical branch (hospitals) and aviation branch (airports & airplanes).
Opportunities
ASITO needed a distribution / logistics concept that was more efficient and could facilitate future growth. The focus was on the replenishment and the sourcing of the 130 branch stocking points.
Solution
An alternative distribution concepts to the over 10,000 cleaning locations was designed. The selected concept was a central distribution of customized shipments for each cleaning location. A pilot was done to verify the practicability of the concept. The pilot was monitored for six months, evaluated by project team and approved for roll-out.
