Summary
Until recently the most optimal supply chain design in the electronics industry often turned out to be a highly centralized one. Production hereby was often outsourced to Asia.Typically, the European market was served via one or a few major distribution centre(s) serving most of the market, with a few local warehouses in the outskirts of Europe. More recently, some determining factors have changed which makes it valuable to think over your supply chain footprint.
